Timur Lukas‘ pictures easily tell stories of people in different situations, including social gatherings, meditative moments and walks on the beach at dusk. These scenes show people in timeless outfits and are based on old amateur photographs and postcards that Lukas has taken from unknown people. For him, they are historical documents that capture past realities of life and social norms. His painting transforms these snapshots into universal spaces of memory by transforming the photographic moments into impressive, multi-layered paintings.
Timur Lukas presents his new series of works in the solo exhibition „Dream Days“ at Knust x Kunz in cooperation with VogelArt.
The exhibition is accompanied by a publication of the same name with a text by Lisa Stoiber and illustrations as well as reportage photographs by Sebastian Bühler.
